Dr. Kelly Knapp
Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Kelly Knapp grew up in Chesterland and graduated from the College of Wooster majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Religious Studies. She then attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. While there, she focused strongly on small animal surgery and was honored with the Excellence in Small Animal Surgery award. Her current interest is still in surgery, specifically orthopedics and minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques. She also sees all pocket pets, non-venomous reptiles and birds.
Dr. Knapp was inducted into Marquis Who’s Who 2024 as a Top Doctor. She prides herself on striving to provide the highest standard of veterinary care to her patients by continually educating herself on the latest treatments and techniques available.
After spending 10 years in practice at The Animal Medical Center of Euclid, Dr. Knapp decided to fulfill her lifelong dream of owning a veterinary practice and purchased Cricket Ridge Animal Hospital in January 2025. She has since made it her own with the renaming of the hospital to Maple Valley Veterinary Center in July 2026 to honor the community of Geauga County that she serves and its rich history of maple syrup production.
In her free time, you can find her spending time with her husband Chris and daughter Isabella. They love to travel, sail on Lake Erie, SCUBA dive, and hike the local trails. The family currently lives in Auburn with their Siamese cat Tater Tot, Maine Coon cat Zero, and Bull Terrier Ryelee!
